By now, you all know I love oatmeal. This banana oat with ginger tea is delicious, healthy, filling, and simple. A blissful bowl to have after a kickass morning workout. I do all my food shopping at our local co-op store and I buy in bulk. I always stock on organic rolled oats, quinoa, couscous, millet grain, bulgur, nuts, spices, and beans. When I’m running out of fruits for my morning smoothies, I rely on oats for a delicious and healthy breakfast.
Ingredients:
Organic oats
Banana
maple syrup (optional)
chia seeds
pumpkin seeds
sunflower seeds
Cashews
Water
Fresh Ginger (grated)
(I did not measure any of my ingredients, I just added what I felt was right at that moment)
Preparation:
Cook organic rolled oats with water in a small pot on stovetop for about 3 – 5 minutes, stirring often until it becomes thick and bubbly. Remove from heat and mix with a t-spoon of maple syrup. Serve in a bowl with chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, cashews, and ginger tea on the side.
Ginger Tea: add water to a tea pot or a small pot, add grated ginger and bring to a boil.
