Sautéed onions, turmeric and peppers with yams and sweet potato. A simple and healthy vegan dish for the veggie foodies.
Ingredients:
1 Yams
2 Onions
Bell peppers
2 Sweet potatoes
Olive oil
Salt
Chili powder
Turmeric
Preparation:
- Peel yam and sweet potatoes
- Wash and slice pepper
- Peel and chop onions
- Avocado (optional)
- Shredded coconut (optional)
Method:
- Add yam and sweet potatoes to a small pot on medium and bring to a boil
- Warm up a skillet, add oil, onion, peppers, turmeric, salt, and chili pepper
- Chop cooked sweet potatoes and yam into small pieces
- Add boiled yams and sweet potatoes to sautéed onions, peppers, and spice
- Mix and cover for 5 minutes
Sautéed onions, sweet bell peppers with turmeric, and shredded coconut for breakfast or lunch. Serve with yam!
