I hope you enjoy the Steamy Garlicky Turmeric Cauliflower and Cabbage with Hair Rice Noodle recipe found below.
Y’all know I gotta rant a bit before I give y’all the recipe. So bear with me!!!
It’s been a busy summer. Busy to the point I’m having a hard time keeping up with myself. In most of my post I urge people to time for relaxation and self-care. I truly need to take my advice and begin to make time for proper self-care. I need time to get out of the country for a while to find my calling. Self-care is a way to allow yourself grow mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. I’ve yet to focus on those things since I started working my nine to five.
My inner glow barely shines the way I want. I don’t want to lose myself in a system that was only meant to destroy the spirit of humanity. A system which forces us to become unresponsive and unrecognizable to our inner self or demands. I truly believe we can all focus on our passion because we are capable of becoming what we put forth. I am certain we are who we speak we will be. Therefore, I’m going back to manifesting my glow, my goals, mission, and power. I will speak thee. I will speak thee.
Okayyyyy, rants over!!!!
On to the recipe for this delicious Buddha bowl (Garlicky Turmeric Cauliflower and Cabbage with Hair Rice Noodle) pictured. After all, you came here for this recipe, correct?
Experimenting with different types of vegetables and fruits feels like heaven on earth. I loved the mix of cauliflower and cabbage with Thai noodle on the side. This bowl is my best one yet. The best one I’ve made thus far.
A Steamy Garlicky Turmeric Cauliflower and Cabbage with Hair Rice Noodle recipe:
Ingredients:
Half of a whole purple cabbage
Fresh cauliflower (1 lb or 2 lbs cauliflower florets)
Hair rice noodle
2 tbsp of olive oil
1 tbsp of turmeric
1/2 tbsp of cumin powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp of chili powder
A handful of pumpkin seeds
A handful of sunflower seeds
1/2 tsp of Thai tomato paste
A whole garlic bulb
Method:
Rinse and chop cabbage
Heat up pan on medium heat, add one tbsp of olive oil, add cabbage, sprinkle a dash of salt and garlic powder to taste. Mix and cover 3-5 minutes. I like the crunching sounds so I only cover for 3 minutes top then I mix, taste and transfer to bowl.
Rinse whole cauliflower florets, cut and trimmed into 1 to 1-1/2 inch florets. Heat up pan on medium heat, add olive oil, cauliflower florets, turmeric, chopped garlic, black pepper, pink salt to taste, mix and cover for 5 minutes. Uncover, mix, and transfer to bowl. If you prefer the cauliflower to be well cooked, I suggest you cover it again and give it a few more minutes.
Add water to a small pot and to a boil. Add hair rice noodle to pot. The noodles should be ready between 3-4 minute.
Heat up pan, add a dash of olive oil, add 1/2 tsp of Thai tomato paste and then noodles. Mixed well then transfer to bowl.
Garnish your Buddha bowl with pumpkin and sunflower seeds. And Voilá!!!
