I know that’s something I should know, but I’m really curious to know if an avocado is a fruit or vegetable.
If you’re a fan of avocado, having it on everything is extremely important. I’ve had avocado in my smoothie, in my breakfast, in salads, with dinner, or by itself. My parents hide avocado from me when I’m home because they know it won’t last. The minute that little bad boy is ready or I spot it, I’m all up in it. What makes it even better is the fact that I can eat three or more in one sitting within seconds.
Here are my top THREE reasons to add avocado to your daily diet.
- known as an alligator pear or butter fruit, the versatile avocado is the only fruit that provides a substantial amount of healthy monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA). Avocados are a naturally nutrient-dense food and contain nearly 20 vitamins and minerals.(1)
- Avocados are not only healthy, they’re also incredibly delicious and go with many types of food. (2)
- Avocado helps in keeping the eyes healthy and protecting the skin from signs of aging and the harmful effects of UV rays. (3)
I can go on trying to convince you to have avocado to your daily meal, but I know it can get expensive and you may not have it in your region. It’s all about location, location, location.
Anyways, below is one of my go to breakfast. A quick toast topped with microgreens, with mango, banana, and yogurt on the side. I’ll talk about my love affair with mango some other time.
Moving along, I always show a small part of what I eat in the morning but not a full morning meal. So, I decided to show a full tray of what I eat in the morning. And guess what? I still missed the tea. I FORGOT TO PUT IT ON THE TRAY FOR PICTURE. Big Whoops!!! I love me some fresh tea in the morning. I always try to boil some fresh ginger or some fresh rosemary for some tea.
