Few weeks ago, my cousins and I decided to head to Harriman State Park to hike the Reeves Brook Loop Trail. I was hyped AF! I had such a difficult week; therefore, reconnecting with nature was the only way I’d feel like myself again. Hope each and every one of you have a chance to reconnect with nature during the weekend and spend some quality time with love ones. I enjoyed some of this healthy and delicious pre-hike energy booster before I left the house. I devoured the rest upon my return home.
Top: Beet Smoothie
Base: Spirulina Smoothie
Beet Energy Booster Ingredients:
1 and half cup of water
3 medium beets (chopped)
1 mango (fresh)
2 pears (frozen)
2 cups of kale (frozen)
2 bananas
2 tsp of MACA powder
2 tsp of chia seeds
2 tsp of sunflower seeds
1 cup of blueberries
Method:
Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth
Spirulina Energy Booster:
1 cup of coconut water
1 mango (fresh)
2 pears (frozen)
2 cups of kale
2 tsp of spirulina powder
1 tsp of Ashwagandha powder
2 tsp of chia seeds
1 tsp of pumpkin seeds
2 tsp of sunflower seeds
1 tsp of flaxseed
Method:
Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth
